The Prince Of Teenis is about the Seishun Acadeemy Middle school team . which is famous for its talented players--going for the national championship .The main character is Echizan Ryoma an arrogant first-year who is a tennis prodigy .Because of his cool attitude .some older students challenge him to tennis games .However,
Ryoma has won the American Junior Tennis Championship four times in a row and therefore defeats them easily
making new friends and learning new tennis tactics Ryoma and seigaku tennis club strive to win the All-Japan
junior high tennis championship.
It is a very enjoyable anime .yet kind of thin on plot and character development .Take two fomidable players
match them up and watch them exhaust their bag of trick until only one remains.konomi does a good job of creating an entertaining story .but one without much dept .
The biggest appeal in the anime is that each player has their own special moues and sayings .However ,since
the opposing players usually only appear during their matches .There is no time to develp the characters That's
why each player has to have a special move many of these moves are totally exaggerated to make an impressio-n on the audience It gets a little repetitive because all the player keep reeating their own special sayings.
This anime is not ture to the sport of tennis and you can't lear much about tennis except for the basic rules.
However ,it is very enjoyable because there is a long term goal the national championship. Also watching how
the seigaku players'skills evolve as they face tougher and tougher opponents is very exciting.
If you are looking for a fun show with good laughs ahd are not concerned about the little details. then The Pri-ce Of Tennis is for you
