dare用作情态动词时,表示“敢于”这个意思,主要用于疑问句、否定句及条件从句。【例如】Dare you go home alone?Tom dare not gosintosthe haunted house.How dare you say such a thing to your father!I won't allow you to swim across the river, even if you dare do it.
