Recently I watched a speech of about 50min given by YuMinhong, the creator of the New Oriental, who is claimed to have a vocabulary of an Oxford Dictionary. Hardly could I believe this until he told during the speech that he memorized 30 words each day. Of course, these words were picked up carefully from what he had read. At the end of the monty, he collected 900 words resulting in acquiring 10800 annually. This lasted four years so that he became a dictionary holder.
What he just has is determination, industriousness, and the most important-persistence supported by his willpower.
Most of us resolve to do more reading and study at the beginning of the year, but how many of us can persist till we realize our schemes? We may become crazily at the first few days, but few of us have strong willpower and self-discipline, which is why we become a quitter in front of many things.
As we know, English-study is no exceptional. Ajourney of a thousand miles begins with a single step. If you are not of strong willpower, you will never become a success, never.
